Shipped August 2026. Every home bartender has a circle. The friends who always ask "what was that thing you made me in June?" The group chat that gets a photo every time you invent something. The neighbor who wants your margarita spec but has no business seeing your experimental fernet phase.
Regulars is how that circle finally gets a seat. Anyone can follow your bar (we call it pulling up a stool), and once they're a Regular, they see exactly the recipes you choose to share with them. Not the whole internet. Not nobody. Your people.
Pull Up a Stool
Following a bar takes one tap. Visit a friend's profile or their public bar page and hit Pull up a stool. That's it, you're a Regular. From then on, their shared pours show up in your feed, and you get a ping when they share something new.
It works the other direction too. Your bar shows a count of Regulars, and you can see exactly who's sitting at it. Someone getting rowdy? Remove them from the list anytime.
You Choose Who Sees Every Recipe
This is the part other cocktail apps get wrong. Sharing shouldn't be all-or-nothing.
In Home Bar Hero, every recipe you create is private by default. When you're ready to share one, open it and tap Share Recipe. You get a choice:
- Just me. The default. Your recipe, your secret.
- My People. Your Regulars (and anyone who co-manages your bar) can see the full recipe.
- All People. Publish it to the whole community, ratings and all.
Changed your mind? Stop sharing anytime and the recipe goes back to private. You're never locked in, and nothing goes public unless you explicitly send it there.
Invite Links That Actually Work
Your bar comes with a shareable invite link (plus a tap-to-copy code for the group chat). Here's the good part: the link survives everything. A friend who has never heard of Home Bar Hero can tap your link, install the app, sign up, and land inside already following your bar. No "okay now search for my username" step.
Hosting a party? Drop the link in the invite. By the time people show up, they're Regulars.
Speakeasy Mode: Invite-Only Bars
Bars are open by default, anyone can pull up a stool. Prefer a velvet rope? Flip your bar to Speakeasy and it goes invite-only: no one gets in without your invite link or code. You can rotate the code whenever you want, which instantly kills the old one.
Open bar or speakeasy, you control the door.
Share Whole Menus, Not Just One-Offs
Regulars pairs with Menus, the drink lists you build for parties and seasons. Guests who scan your Party Host QR code see a clean drinks list. Your Regulars, logged in, see the full recipes behind it. Build a Tiki Night menu once and everyone gets the version of it they should get.
You can even share a link that lands someone directly on a specific menu.
A Feed That Knows Your People
The community feed picked up a Following | All toggle. Flip it to Following and the noise drops away: just the bars you actually sit at, their new pours, their toasts. Flip back to All when you want the whole room. Your home screen surfaces new pours from your bars too.
Regulars vs. Shared Bar: Which One Do You Want?
Home Bar Hero has had Shared Bars for a while: two or more people co-managing one bottle inventory (roommates, couples, the office bar). Regulars is different. Nobody touches your inventory. They follow your bar and see the recipes you share. Most people end up using both: a Shared Bar with the household, Regulars for everyone else.
Getting Your First Regulars
- Open the app and check your profile. Your bar is already followable.
- Grab your invite link from the Regulars panel in settings.
- Send it to the friends who always ask for your recipes.
- Share a recipe to My People so their stools come with a welcome drink.
That's the whole loop: they tap, they sit, they see what you pour. And when they make your drink and toast it, you'll know the recipe landed.
